I want you to be creative in life and savor your accomplishments. I can help you grow emotionally so you can begin to make not only new choices, but new kinds of choices. I can help you discover new ways you can live your life more completely, fully and passionately.
I am an associate professor of psychology at the City University of New York, and a senior faculty member of the East Side Institute for Group and Short Term Psychotherapy, an international center for human development. I serve as mentor and supervisor to clinicians in training.
I am the co-editor, along with Dr. Lois Holzman, of Psychological Investigations: A Clinician’s Guide to Social Therapy, a collection of philosophical therapeutic conversations with the founder of Social Therapy, Dr. Fred Newman.
I am also a founding member of the All Stars Project, a national youth development project that brings performance into the lives of young people. I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology at Boston University and served as a Clinical Fellow at Harvard Medical School at Boston’s Children’s hospital. My therapy practice is located in both Brooklyn and Manhattan.
